Quartermaster

A Quartermaster is a military officer who, with the assistance of his subordinates, provides quarters, rations, and other supplies to soldiers in the field and on bases. Quartermaster units include officers and enlisted men capable of providing these services. Quartermaster soldiers include cooks, supply clerks, and warehouse workers. Quartermasters keep the US Army supplied; an essential element in performing its mission. The United States Army Quartermaster Corps, formerly the Quartermaster Department, is one of three US Army logistics branches, along with the Transportation Corps and the Ordnance Corps.
